Southern Counties Scratch Golf League

With a passion for playing the beautiful game and a vision to promote positive change at the elite amateur level, The Southern Counties Scratch Golf League was formed in 2017 by Alex Cooper and William Goy.

Alex is a member at Hindhead Golf Club, previously Farnham Golf Club and before that Clandon Regis Golf Club where he met William. With numerous Club and county titles between them it was there where they created a formidable partnership on the course and soon after off it.

Driven by personal experiences and taking inspiration from the essence of the Ryder Cup, Alex and William are nowadays devoted to both increasing competitive opportunities for elite amateur golfers and opening up county borders which for too long have restricted golfing relationships. 200 players, 167 matches, 40 clubs, 7 counties - but there can only ever be one champion. With the support of sponsors including Your Golf Travel, Bushnell, Bunker Mentality and PXG the future of the league is bright.
